(October 25, 2025) Bentonville, Arkansas - The ladies won the 2024 Region 2 Championship last season on the same course the Bucks ran this morning on the campus of Northwest Arkansas Community Colleges. Overall, the Bucks have won 4 Region 2 Championships and finished as the Runner-Ups one other time. Coach Samantha Shores has had 4 ladies finish as the individual Region 2 Champion in the last 7 seasons.
Darcy Vineyard (Claremore, OK) made that number 5 for Bucks Cross Country by defending her own Region 2 Championship this morning on a wet and rainy 5K course. The sophomore finshed with a 18:51.8 to lead the pack of 30 runners. Vineyard is the first runner in UARM history finish as the Region 2 Champion in back-to-back seasons.
The Bucks only had a total of 3 runners in the race. Ellie Taylor (Atkins, AR) had a goal of finish in the top 10 and did so with an 8th place finish with a time of 21:08.8, which matches her personal best. Katelynn Foster (Mena, AR) finished the run in 24:13.0. It was good enough for 25th overall.
