(October 4, 2025) Fayetteville, Arkansas - In the back stretch of the 2025 season, the ladies are pushing through and competed at the Chile Pepper Festival this afternoon. The Bucks were in the Prairie Fire Pepper 5K with several NCAA DII, NAIA, and NJCAA institutions.
Still competing as individuals, the ladies had great races on the day with sophomore Darcy Vineyard (Claremore, OK) finishing 14th overall out of 239 runners in the 5K. Vineyard ran her best time so far this season. Her time this afternoon was 52 seconds faster than last season at the Chile Pepper. She also led the way for NJCAA Region 2 competitors.
The trio of freshmen for the Bucks all set personal records and had great races. Ellie Taylor (Atkins, AR) finished 99th overall with a personal best of 21:08:00. Averie Dunn (Kingston, AR) & Katelynn Foster (Mena, AR) finished 144th & 145th overall with times of 22:13.6 & 22:16.9, respectively.

The Bucks will have a couple of weeks off and look to compete as a team on October 17th at Mississippi College. The Region 2 Championship is the following weekend in Bentonville.
