Top 10 Finish for Vineyard at OU

(April 10, 2026) Norman, Oklahoma - After competing at Stephen F. Austin last week in Nacogdoches, Texas, the Bucks hit the road again on Friday for the John Jacobs Invitational, hosted by the University of Oklahoma. This is the Bucks second trip to central Oklahoma this season. The ladies competed at an indoor race back in February.

It was a limited field for UARM on Friday. The event began with the 1500 meter run for Ellie Taylor (Atkins, AR). She would finish 32nd with a time of 5:50.77. Unfortunately, her day would end after the race with a nagging injury, leaving her unable to compete in the 800 meter run. Classmate Katelynn Foster (Mena, AR) competed for the second week in a row in the 800 meter run and finished 29th. The freshman ran a time of 2:55.52. 

In sprints, Tyia Allen (Mt. Pleasant, TX) competed in the 100 meter and 200 meter dashes. In the 100 meters, she finished 22nd out of 31 ladies with a time of 13.05. Allen ran a 27.74 in the 200 meter dash.

Darcy Vineyard (Claremore, OK) ran in the 5000 meter run to end the day. She would finished 9th overall in the run with 25 ladies competing. She ran a time of 19.38.04 against NCAA DI competition.

The ladies will compete again on Friday and Saturday at the Little Rock Invitational.
