(March 14, 2026) Arkadelphia, Arkansas - After a great start to their season at Hendrix and Harding, the ladies made their shortest trip of the semester to Ouachita Baptist University for the Ouachita Invitational. The event was held at the Hickingbotham Family Track & Field Complex. The competition was mainly comprised on NCAA DII schools.
The day started for the ladies with Ellie Taylor (Atkins, AR) in the 1500 meter run. The freshmen was one of 49 runners in the event and placed 38th with a time of 5:36.34.
Tyia Allen (Mt. Pleasant, TX) was up next in both of her sprinting events. She would place 13th in the 100 meter dash with a 13.42, before setting a personal record in the 200 meter dash. Allen's time of 27.37 was good enough for 19th overall out of 29 runners.
The Bucks day ended with Darcy Vineyard (Claremore, OK) in the 5000 meters. After last year's national qualification in the 3000 meter steeplechase, she has her goal set on a qualification for the 5K on the track. She would come up just one second short this afternoon in Arkadelphia with a time of 18:46.29. It was good enough for 7th place out of 23 ladies in the race.
UARM is now done with competition in the month of March and will run again on April 3rd at Stephen F. Austion in Nacogdoches, Texas.
