Ladies Have Solid Day at Harding

(March 6, 2026) Searcy, Arkansas - After beginning their Spring 2026 track season last weekend at Hendrix College in Conway, the ladies hit the road again on Friday for Harding University. The event was moved up a day from Saturday to Friday due to this weekend's weather. The meet was held at the Ted and Marcie Lloyd Track & Field Complex. The field was primarily NCAA DII and DIII universities. 

The ladies day began in the 100 meter dash for Tyia Allen (Mt. Pleasant, TX). The freshmen placed sixth out of 12 runners in the field with a personal best time of 12.88. She would later run in the 200 meter dash and finished with a time of 27.66. It was good enough for 10th overall and her second personal record of the day. 

Ellie Taylor (Atkins, AR) competed in her lone event of the day in the 800 meter run. She placed fourth in her heat that was good enough for 12th out of 16 competitors with a time of 2:44.46.

The Bucks day ended with Darcy Vineyard (Claremore, OK) in the 3000 meter run. The Rogers State University committ was one of 17 in the field this afternoon at Harding. The sophomore finished second in her heat with a time of 11:10.23, that was good enough for sixth overall.

The ladies will compete again next weekend at the Ouachita Invitational in Arkadalphia.
