White & Gentry Rejoin Bucks Softball as Assistant Coaches

(June 10, 2026) Mena, Arkansas - Head Softball Coach Tracy Nealy is proud to announce the additions of two Assistant Softball Coaches to his staff for the 2026-27 academic year: Savannah White & Blaire Gentry. Both just finished their athletic careers and have ties back to the UARM Softball program.

Savannah White is back as an assistant coach for the Bucks after completing her athletic eligibility at NCAA DI University of Louisiana Lafayette. White initially joined UARM in the summer of 2024 as a volunteer coach after completing her Bachelor's of Science in Sport Management from Campbell University in North Carolina. The stint as an assistant coach was very short lived as UL Lafayette called her about her remaining year of eligibility. White was a catcher/utility player at both Campbell and Lafayette. She was a 3-year starter at Campbell and started at catcher for the Rajun Cajuns during her final year. White then joined the staff at Lafayette as a Graduate Assistant and completed a Master's of Science in Kinesiology-Recreation Sport Management. The Cossatot River graduate returns back to Polk County to restart her coaching career at UARM. She will work with the catchers and manage the Bucks weight program.

Blaire Gentry is another familiar face for UARM Softball as the alum is coming back to be an assistant coach for her Head Coach Tracy Nealy. Gentry played two years at UARM for Coach Nealy as a pitcher/DP and is currently holds the record for wins and strikeouts in a career at UARM (2021-2023). She is a graduate of Ashdown High School and from Lockesburg, AR. After graduating from UARM, she went to Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK to continue her playing career. She completed a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management. Gentry is now working on her Master's in Sports Management. She will coach the pitchers for the Bucks along with being the assistant to the Athletic Director.

Coach Nealy is excited about the additions to his staff. "Savannah and Blaire are the perfect fits to our program. They both have previous ties to the program and the area. Both are motivated to get started and are great, young softball minds that will bring a lot to our program."

Bucks Softball is coming off a 37-17 season in 2026. The past 3 seasons (2024-2026) the Bucks have won 35+ games in each season for a total of 117 wins. The program began in 2021 and will enter its 7th season in program history in 2027.
