(April 9, 2026) Mena, Arkansas - After a region series sweep last week against Carl Albert, the ladies had the weekend off and now returned to for a region series against North Arkansas College. The series started this afternoon at Cummings-Cecil Field and will conclude on Saturday at Harrison, AR.
The Bucks took care of business in both games and ended them in five innings in both games: 11-2 and 8-0. The wins moves UARM overall record to 29-9 and 17-1 in region play.
The ladies scored 19 runs on 23 hits. Of those hits, only two hits were extra base hits. Kinley Rankin (Horatio, AR) and Linley Collins (Whitesboro, OK) did the most damage with 5 RBIs each. Rankin scored twice and added a sac fly to her stat line. Brooke Tyler (Gainesville, TX) led the ladies with 4 hits. The extra base hits came from Lynden Cole (Gadsden, TN) with triple, while Ashlen VanMeter (Brock, TX) hit a double. Tyler and VanMeter each had a pair of RBIs. Emily Stout's (Vilonia, AR) loan hit of the day helped her produced 3 RBIs, including a sac fly of her own.
The Bucks did not strike out in the doubleheader and were walked 5 times with a hit-by-pitch. As a team, the ladies hit .500 this afternoon with a .537 on-base percentage.
In the circle, the ladies did not give up an earned run on the afternoon. Hayden White (Red Oak, OK) and Mallory Abercrombie (Foreman, AR) both went the distance in their starts. White (7-1) gave up 2 unearned runs on 2 hits with a lone strikeout, while Abercrobmie (7-3) gave up 3 hits and struck out a pair.
UARM will go for the series win on Saturday in Harrison. First pitch is scheduled for 2 pm.
