Ladies Run-Rule ASU Three Rivers

(March 27, 2028) Mena, Arkansas - After a non-region doubleheader sweep on Tuesday over Baton Rouge at Centenary College, the ladies returned home to Cummings-Cecil Field this afternoon for a region doubleheader against ASU Three Rivers. Earlier this season, the two teams met in Malvern for a non-region doubleheader, in which the Bucks won 12-0 and 13-0.

Today's games went very similar with UARM winning 8-0 in 6-innings and 16-5 to end the day. In the second game, the ladies scored 14 of their 16 runs in the bottom of the first inning. The wins bring their overall record to 22-8 with a 10-0 record in Region 2. The Bucks are currently on a 13 game winning streak, dating back to March 10th. 

The bat were hot this afternoon, scoring 24 runs on 26 hits. Of the 26 hits, 11 were extra base hits. Lynden Cole (Gadsden, TN) hit 2 home runs in the second game and had 6 RBIs on the day. She also added a double and a sacrifice fly to her stat line. Classmate Ashlen VanMeter (Brock, TX) hit a bomb herself with a double and 4 RBIs. The first basemen also stole 3 bases on the day. 

Linley Collins (Whitesboro, OK) led the team with 6 hit in the doubleheader, including a double, 5 RBIs, 5 runs scored, and 2 stolen bases. Kensley Allen (Muskogee, OK) recorded 4 hits with a double, a triple, and 3 RBIs.

In the circle, Mallory Abercrombie (Foreman, AR) and Ainsley Tippen (Perryville, AR) both got starts and turned the outings into a pair of win. Abercrombie (5-3) pitched 5.0 innings, giving up 0 runs on 5 hits while striking out 4. Tippen (4-1) pitched 2-innings, giving up 1 run on no hits and struck out 4. Hayden White (Red Oak, OK) came on in this first game with the tying run at the plate and picked up her 4th save of the season in 1-inning of work. 

The Bucks will play again on Saturday against National Park College. First pitch is scheduled for 2 pm at McMillan Park.
