(March 20, 2026) East Camden, Arkansas - After starting region play 4-0 last weekend at home, the ladies hit the road on Friday for a 4-game region set at SAU Tech and Southeast Arkansas. Their weekend began against the Lady Rockets of SAU Tech.
It wasn't the best day for the ladies, but the Bucks drove away from East Camden with two wins to now be 16-8 overall and 6-0 in region play. UARM shut out SAU Tech 5-0 to begin the day and was able to win 9-5 to end it. The runs in the second game were the first runs the ladies have given up in Region 2 games.
Offensively, the Bucks had 16 hits, including a pair of doubles, to score 14 runs. The extra base hits came from six different ladies. Linley Collins (Whitesboro, OK) led the Bucks with 5 hits, including a double and 2 RBIs. Abby Ward (Bella Vista, AR) record a single and a double with 2 RBIs. Hayden White (Red Oak, OK) could be considered the player of the day, hit a double and recorded a pair of RBI in the first game. Of the ladies 14 runs, Lynden Cole (Gadsden, TN) scored 3 times with five other ladies scoring twice in the doubleheader.
Abigail Koppein (Mena, AR) went the distance for UARM in the 5-0 win. Koppein (7-2) gave up no runs on just 1 hit with 5 strikeouts. The second game of the day took a committee to get it done. Ainsley Tippen (Perryville, AR) came on in relief to pitch 3.1 innings, giving up 0 runs on just 1 hit. Tippen (3-1) only struck out 2. Hayden White came on in the bottom of the sixth inning with the bases loaded and the tying run at the plate, but the sophomore recorded 3 strikeouts to pick up her 3rd save of the season in 1.2 innings of work.
The ladies will play again on Saturday in Pine Bluff against Southeast Arkansas. First pitch is scheduled for 1 pm.
