UARM Run-Rules ASU Mid-South

(March 14, 2026) Mena, Arkansas - Starting region play 2-0 on Friday against ASU-Newport, the ladies wanted to go 4-0 in the opening weekend of Region 2 play. This time, the Bucks took on ASU Mid-South on Saturday at Cummings-Cecil Field. This is ASUMS first season of NJCAA Softball. 

Just like on Friday, the Bucks got a pair of shutout wins over the Lady Greyhounds. This time, both games were 8-0 run-rules. The ladies are now 14-8 overall, but more importantly, UARM is 4-0 in Region 2.

The ladies scored their 16 runs on 18 hits. Four of those hits were extra base hits, including Lynden Cole (Gadsden, TN) with a double and a triple. The sophomore catcher drove in and scored a pair of runs. Linley Collins (Whitesboro, OK) led the Bucks with 4 hits. One of those hits would be a triple. The sophomore also led the Bucks with 4 RBIs in the doubleheader and scored 4 runs. Kensley Allen (Muskogee, OK) also had 3 hits on the afternoon.

In the circle, Hayden White (Red Oak, OK) and Mallory Abercrombie (Foreman, AR) got the starts against ASUMS. White (2-1) pitched a complete game, giving up only 1 hit with 3 strikeouts. Abercrombie (4-3) got her second win of the weekend, lasting 5.0 innings. She gave up only 2 hits and struckout 3.

The Bucks will now have the week off before heading out for a 2-day region road trip to SAU Tech and Southeast Arkansas. The ladies will play a doubleheader on Friday in Camden, before concluding the weekend in Pine Bluff on Saturday.
