(February 24, 2026) Mena, Arkansas - After run-ruling Arkansas State's Club Team on Sunday, the ladies returned to Cummings-Cecil Field it end their home stand against Eastern Oklahoma State College. Earlier this season in Wilburton, the Bucks split with the Lady Mountaineers to begin their season.
In both games on Tuesday, the ladies found themselves playing from behind. Trailing 3-0 to start they day, the Bucks fought back to tie the game in the bottom of the seventh inning to send it to extra innings. The game would stay locked at 5-5 until Lynden Cole (Gadsden, TN) hit a RBI single to right field to give the Bucks the 6-5 win. To end the day, the Bucks trailed 4-0 and fought their way back in the game. The ladies plated a pair of runs in the seventh inning, but the comeback was cut short to fall 8-6 to Eastern.
The Bucks recorded 24 hits in the 2 games, but only 3 of the hits were extra base hits. One of Cole's 7 hits was a 2-run home run in the fifth inning of the 6-5 win, while Kensley Allen (Muskogee, OK) and Ashlen VanMeter (Brock, TX) each had 4 hits with a double in two games. Cole and VanMeter each had 4 RBIs on the day.
Three ladies went in the circle to get the win. The Bucks did not give up a walk in the contest with Abigail Koppein (Mena, AR) coming in to pitch the final 3.0 innings, giving up 0 runs on just 2 hits. Koppein (3-1) struck out 4 Lady Mountaineers in the win.
The Bucks will now head to FireLake Ballpark in Shawnee, OK on Friday and Saturday. The ladies will take on Rose State College at 11 am on Friday, before squaring off in the rubber match against Eastern Oklahoma State later that afternoon. On Saturday, UARM takes on St. Charles Community College and Seminole State.
