(February 19, 2026) Mena, Arkansas - After taking a pair of games on Monday at Cummings-Cecil Field over NJCAA DI Northeast Texas Community College, UARM hit the field again this afternoon against NJCAA DI #18 Seminole State College. The Bucks and Trojans have played every season since 2021. The ladies have got the best of the Trojans the last two seasons, taking 3 out of 4 games.
For most of the day, it felt like the ladies couldn't get a timely hit, or if they did, the Bucks couldn't string enough together to put up a crooked number on the board. Seminole took the first game of the day 6-1, before the two teams were in a battle to end the day.
UARM had a 2-0 lead after the first inning after a Lynden Cole (Gadsden, TN) 2-run bomb over the left centerfield fence. It was her 5th home run of the young season. Seminole answered by scoring 6 runs combined in the second through fourth innings to lead 6-2.
The ladies wouldn't go away, putting up a run in the fifth and sixth innings. Cole struck again on a 2-out RBI to right field in the fifth. Then, Emily Stout (Vilonia, AR) singled with 2 outs in the sixth. She stole second base and then scored on a throwing error by the Trojans to make it 6-4 heading into the final frame.
The Trojans added a crucial run in the game in the top of the seventh inning to take a 3-run lead into the bottom half for UARM. The ladies battled and started a 2-out rally that started with a Brooke Tyler (Gainesville, TX) singe. After advancing to second base on an error, Lynden Cole delivered her fourth RBI of the game on a double to right centerfield. She would score on the next at-bat by Kensley Allen (Muskogee, OK). The freshmen third basemen hit a line drive to right field to make it a 1-run game. The Bucks advanced on a passed ball to put the tying run at second base, but a flyout to right field ended the game, falling 7-6.
Perry Nickerson (De Queen, AR) pitched the final 4.0 innings of the day, giving up 1 run on 3 hits to stalemate the Trojans offensive attack.
On the day, the ladies stranded 13 runners, but out hit Seminole 12-9 in the second game. The Bucks and Trojans will meet again next weekend for a single contest at FireLake Ballpark in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
