Ladies Blast ASU Three Rivers in a Pair of Run-Rule Games

(February 10, 2026) Arkadelphia, Arkansas - After opening their season last week at Eastern Oklahoma State with a split, the Bucks hit the road on Tuesday for Henderson State University to take on ASU Three Rivers in a non-region doubleheader. The two teams will meet up later this season at Cummings-Cecil Field for a region doubleheader. UARM is in the West Division of DII Region 2, while ASUTR is in the East Division. Each division will play a cross-over doubleheader with each school, while division opponents will play a 4-game series. 

It was all Bucks on the day, run-ruling the Lady Eagles in a pair of shutout games: 13-0 and 12-0.

Offensively, the ladies had 25 hits on the day that included 10 extra base hits: 3 doubles, 2 triples, and 5 balls that left the yard. The middle of the order did the most damage with Kensley Allen (Muskogee, OK) hitting her first home runs of the season with 5 RBIs. Not to be outdone, Lynden Cole (Gadsden, TN) ran her season total to 4 with two on the day and 4 RBIs. Abby Ward (Bella Vista, AR) hit her first collegiate home run in the first game of the doubleheader. 

The day seen Coach Nealy get all of his players a trip to the plate with several getting their first collegiate hits and driving in runs. Seven different ladies drove in multiple runs including Emily Stout (Vilonia, AR) with 3 RBIs and four other ladies driving in a pair: Linley Collins (Whitesboro, OK), Ashlen VanMeter (Brock, TX), Hayden White (Red Oak, OK), and Ward. 

In the circle, the ladies used three pitchers on the day. The Bucks gave up 0 runs on just 2 hits and struck out 13 as a staff. Abigail Koppein (Mena, AR) started the first game of the day, going the distance with 5.0 innings. Koppein (2-0) got her second win of the season, only giving up 1 hit and striking out 3. Ainsley Tippen (Perryville, AR) made her collegiate debut, lasting 3.1 innings in the game two start. Tippen (1-0) would strike out 8 hitters in the win and did not give up a hit. Freshmen Mallory Abercrombie (Foreman, AR) pitched the final 1.2 innings on the day, giving up only a hit and striking out a pair.

The Bucks will now have a break for the remainder of the week before beginning a 5-date home stand that begins on Monday, February 16th, against Northeast Texas Community College. First pitch is at 1 pm from Cummings-Cecil Field.
