(May 10, 2025) Ardmore, Oklahoma - After dropping their game on Friday evening to #2 Murray State, the 22nd ranked UARM Bucks hit the field again this morning at Regional Park. The ladies were trying to punch their ticket to the Southwest Plains District Championship game against Murray State.
The ladies scratched across a run on 2 hits in the top of the first inning, before Western Oklahoma tied it up in the top of the second inning. The game would remained tied through the end of regulation and went into extra innings. The Bucks still only had their 2 hits through the end of the seventh.
Western hit a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning, but the ladies would not go down with out a fight. After Olivia Tefft (Frisco, TX) pinch hit and reached on a single. After an out, Linley Collins (Whitesboro, OK) hit a single to bring Jaliyah Simmons (Muskogee, OK) to the plate. Simmons took the 1-2 pitch into left centerfield to plate both runs to tie the game. After Emma Reynolds (Cayuga, TX) was intentially walked, Brenli Baker (Enid, OK) hit a RBI single into left field to walk it off to send the Bucks to the District Championship game.
Hayden White (Red Oak, OK) pitched a complete game to get her 13th win of the season. White (10-2) pitched 8.0 innings, giving up 3 runs (2 earned) on 7 hits, while striking out 4.
The Bucks play again at 2 pm in a rematch against Murray State.
