Osborne Finishes 1st; Bucks PR at Harding Invitational

(March 6, 2026) Searcy, Arkansas - After a solid start to their young season last week in Conway, the men hit the road on Friday afternoon for the Harding Invitational at the Ted and Marcie Lloyd Track & Field Complex. The field was mainly NCAA DII and DIII universities. 

The Bucks began their day with the only distance event the men competed in. Aiden Kimp (Mena, AR) placed 19th out of 38 runner with a time of 4:18.88. Three of his teammates joined him in the race, including Ethan Mazzola (Benton, AR) and Alfred Rodriguez (Dalhart, TX). The duo finished 26th and 27th with times of 4:29.12 and 4:31.44, respectively. It was personal record for Rodriguez in the 1500. Camren Lynn-Edward Smith (Bella Vista, AR) rounded out the race, placing 36th.

Josiah Jackson (Norman, OK) continued his solid season with a top 10 finish in the 400 meter run. The freshmen placed 8th in the race with a personal best of 51.15. He finished his day with the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.79. It was good enough for 16th out of 48 runners. 

Jackson's sprinting teammates competed in the 100 meter and 200 meter dashes. Out of 41 runners in the 100, Micah Brooks (Northside, Anguilla) and Kale Erickson  (Lindstrom, MN) placed 28th and 29th, while the duo flipped their finishes in the 200 with Erickson placing 36th and Brooks finishing 38th out of 48 competitors. Both set personal records in both events. 

In the 800 meter run, Alfred Rodriguez ran his best race of his collegiate career with a 2:02.42 and placed 5th out of 18 runners. Rodriguez is close to breaking the 2-minute mark in his best event. Freshmen Mazzola finished 13th with 2:17.02. 

The best finish on the day came from Khobee Osborne (De Queen, AR). The freshmen won his first race of his collegiate career at Harding with a 55.51 in the 400 meter hurdles. He betterd his time from Hendrix and is a little over one second away from qualifying for Nationals that will be held later this Spring in New Mexico. 

The Bucks will compete again next Saturday, March 14th, at the Ouachita Invitational in Arkadelphia.
