Livestock Finished 4th at "The Darby"

(February 7, 2026) Calhoun County, Georgia - After competing this past Fall and at Cattlemen's Congress & the National Western Livestock Show in Denver so far this winter, the Bucks hit the road for "The Darby" for their first official spring contest. The men and women stopped along the way at the Innisfail Farm and the Katie Colin Farm to look at hereford and angus cattle. Last season, the Livestock Judging team had good success on their Georgia trip. 

Overall as a team, the Bucks finished 4th in the junior college division. Individually, the team had 5 competitors in the overall top 20 of the contest.

13th - Kaleb Self (Susan Moore, AL)
15th - Kyleigh Stephenson (Elida, NM)
16th - Ellie Johnson (Mountainburg, AR)
17th - Rylie Bignar (Prairie Grove, AR)
20th - Jake Sawyer (De Queen, AR)
 
The Bucks competed in the categories of Swine, Sheep & Goats, Cattle, and Reasons. 
 
In Swine, Ellie Johnson led the way with a top ten finish, placing 7th. Rylie Johnson and William Neal (Lockesburg, AR) placed 11th and 13th, respectively.
 
Kyleigh Stephenson placed 5th to banner in Sheep & Goats, while Jake Sawyer and Anna Sweat (McCaskill, AR) followed at 13th and 14th.
 
Kaleb Self was one place away from bannering in Cattle with a 6th place finish. Sawyer was close by, placing 9th, followed by Stephenson placing 10th. 
 
Kyleigh Stephenson backed up her placings and talked Reasons that were good enough for 13th overall. 
 
The team now has a short turn around this week and will head to Mississippi for the Dixie National Livestock Show. The collegiate contest is Saturday, February 14th.
