UARM Splits Series with Enid; Baseball Season Comes to an End

(April 25, 2026) Enid, Oklahoma - After winning both games to begin the series at home on Thursday, UARM loaded up and headed to Northern Oklahoma to conclude the series with the Jets. The Bucks were in much need of a win to give themselves a chance at the Region 2 cross-over series between the West and East Divisions.

Like both games at Union Bank Field on Thursday, the games were very competitive that seen lead changes, ties, and late inning heroics; however, it was NOC-Enid that pulled out both contest: 7-6 and 5-3.

To start the day, the Bucks were down 2 runs in the top of the seventh and were able to knot the game at 6-6 to send it to the bottom of the inning, but the Jets would get the walk-off win. UARM tied the final game of the series in the top of the seventh at 3-3, but the Jets once again regained the lead in the bottom half to go on to win.

The Bucks scored 9 runs at David Allen Memorial Ballpark on 13 hits. Geovani Escandon (Plantation, FL) led the Bucks with 3 hits and 3 RBIs. One of his hits was a solo home run in the second game. Yancey Steady (Baton Rouge, LA) also hit a solo home run in the doubleheader. Sophomores Dylan Gibson (Springdale, AR) and Ethan Miller (Hallsville, TX) each recorded a pair of hits on Saturday.

On the mound, John McCready (Chatham, MA) once again gave the Bucks great relief work in the first game on Saturday, pitching 2.1 innings. The sophomore transfer gave up 0 runs on 1 hit to give the Bucks a chance to tie the game in the top of the seventh. Mason Moore (Greenwood, AR) pitched 5.0 innings in his start in the last game, holding the Jets to 3 runs (1 earned) on 2 hits. Moore got the no-decision and struck out 3 hitters.

The losses ended UARM's 2026 season with 20-32 overall record. The Bucks were one win away from the playoffs.
