Bucks Split with NOC-Tonkawa

(April 1, 2026) Mena, Arkansas - After dropping their series last week to Murray State, UARM turned the page to NOC-Tonkawa for a 4-game series. Mother nature has caused the series to change shape from its original format. The Bucks ended up with a home doubleheader on Wednesday and will conclude the series on Saturday in Oklahoma.

The men dropped their first game of the day late, 4-1, surrendering a 1-0 lead that was held through six innings of play, but the Bucks were able to pull out a 6-3 win to split the day over the Mavericks.

Offensively, UARM scored their 7 runs on 12 hits. Of those 12, only 3 were extra base hits with two of them coming from Ethan Miller (Hallsville, TX). Miller hit a double and a home run with 2 RBIs and 4 runs scored on Wednesday. Classmates Ben Welch (Coppell, TX) and Andrew Stancin (Fernandina, FL) also had a pair of RBIs. Welch joined Miller with 3 hits in the doubleheader, and Michael Sullivan (Mena, AR) recorded a pair of hits as the only Bucks to record multiple hits against the Mavericks.

The starting pitchers on the mound gave the Bucks a chance in each game. Connor Frith (Perryville, AR) lasted 6.0 innings in the loss to start the day, giving up 3 runs on 3 hits. Frith (2-1) struck out 5 and only allowed 2 free bases. Jaxson Ingle (Lonoke, AR) went 6.2 innings, giving up 3 runs (2 earned) on 7 hits. Ingle (3-2) struck out 6 hitters. Avie Singleton (Cabot, AR) come on and pitched the final 2.1 innings in the win to record his first save of the season.

The Bucks and NOC-Tonkawa will conclude the series on Saturday, April 4th, in Tonkawa. First pitch is scheduled for 1 pm.
