UARM Get Run-Rule Win; Split with Eastern Oklahoma

(March 19, 2026) Mena, Arkansas - After a high scoring loss on Tuesday, the Bucks returned to Union Bank Field on Thursday afternoon for an in-region matchup with Eastern Oklahoma State College. This is the Bucks bye week from Region 2 West Division games. The Bucks and Mountaineers renewed their annual series this season after not playing each other in a few seasons.

Eastern jumped out to an early lead and held off the Bucks to win the first game of the day, but UARM came storming back in the second game to get the 12-2 win over the Mountaineers. The Bucks scored runs in spurts with a 4-run bottom half of the first to take an early lead and never looked back.

Offensively, the Bucks used 5 home runs in the win to do most of their damage. Nobody had a bigger day at the plate than designated hitter Ben Welch (Coppell, TX). Welch recorded a pair of extra base hits, including a home run and a double. His two hits produced 5 RBIs to lead the team on the day. Andrew Stancin (Fernandina, FL) and Ethan Miller (Hallsville, TX) each had 3 hits on the afternoon. Stancin hit 2 solo bombs with one in each game, while Miller added a homer of his own. Aiden Poirier (Richmond, TX) got a pair of hits with a home run and 4 RBIs. Brock Bichlmeier (Little Rock, AR) got his first hit of the season via the long ball that plated 3 runs to put UARM in the run-rule situation.

Overall, the Bucks scored their 16 runs on 15 hits. UARM reached base 18 times via walks and hit-by-pitches and stole 6 bases. Besides Stancin and Miller, Bryson Denning (Longview, TX) scored 3 times for the Bucks after reaching base at a .714 clip.

On the mound, Jaxson Ingle (Lonoke, AR) got his first collegiate win of his career, lasting 5.2 innings in the start. The left hander gave up only 1 run on 2 hits and struck out 5.

Now, UARM will hit the road on Saturday to conclude the series in Wilburton, Oklahoma. First pitch is scheduled for 1 pm on the campus of Eastern Oklahoma State College.
